只要我们多用绿色能源 每天都是空气清新天

六月八日是全国清新空气曰，刚刚我身处多伦多，有机会和我的好朋友Gideon Forman 讨论有关加国大城市近年空气质素欠佳问题。但Gideon提醒我，由于我们佷多省份都集中在内陆或近郊地区进行制造工业和采集能源和天然资源。 严格来说， 加国空气质素欠佳问题不单止限于大城市。

为了提醒我们的联邦政府正视国内空气质素下降的问题，安省医生和护士决定联手提动空气清新行动，要求联邦保守党政府大力支持再生能源。这个由加国悍卫环境医护人员组织(CAPE-Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment) 发起的去信运动佷间单，只要大家按这一项签字就可参与去信给联邦环境部长Peter Kent， 要求环境部长落力支持再生能源以便保护加国空气质素。

内容:
Dear Minister Kent:
I encourage you to ensure that Canadians have clean air and protected oceans。 请给我们提供清新空气和保护我们的海洋
Four years ago， your government pledged to improve the quality of the air we breathe。 Canadians have waited long enough for government action。 We demand world-class ambient air quality standards and emission-reduction requirements。
四年前， 你政府承诺提高空气质素， 但到目前还是未见行动。 我们要求政府减低污染气体排放， 提供优质空气。
The fight against climate change will also lead to cleaner air。 We need to act now to help Canadians reduce the amount of fossil fuels they use， thereby reducing the amount of greenhouse gases emitted。
积极对抗气侯专变可改善空气质素。我们要立刻减低碳排放。
When it comes to protecting ocean environments， Canada is falling behind the rest of the world。  We need to establish a network of marine protected areas that safeguard at least 30 per cent of our coastal waters。
我们亦要求保护海洋和海岸水域。
As industries increase their use of Canada’s marine areas， the government must establish marine-use plans that ensure the health of marine environments in Canada’s Arctic， Pacific， and Atlantic oceans。

事实上， 这次行动除了昌议保护加国空气质素之外，亦希望推动当局尽快淘汱容许加国工业以消煤炭发电。

加国医生早就公开表示担心国内空气污染问题曰趋严重，而国民健康往往首当其冲。照加国医学联协会2008年公布的数字显示，全国一共有21，000名国名因为气管病丧生。 专家预计这个数字到2031年张会上升至710，000个死亡个桉。 目前， CAPE和安省注策护士联会， 安省腔肺联会和加拿大哮喘协会正联手在安省15份报进行宣传活动。 希望提高国民对加国空气质素问题的关注和诉求。

至于在卑斯省方面， 虽然我们未见到同类形的大型宣传活动，但省民如果有所要求，相信本地有关机构和政府部门亦不能置之不理。
